Attorney Thomas Flanagan has over twenty-five years of legal experience as an attorney in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. He served as an Assistant District Attorney for more than two decades, in Norfolk, Plymouth and Suffolk Counties, and also served as a Special Prosecutor during that time on criminal cases in the Bristol and Cape and Islands Districts. During his years as state prosecutor, He represented the Commonwealth, the community, and victims of crime in thousands of cases in both District and Superior Courts, and has earned a reputation as a dedicated, skilled, and passionate advocate for his clients, with a proven track record of achieving success in the courtroom with fairness and integrity.
Over more than 25 years in the courtroom as a litigator, Attorney Flanagan has gained extensive courtroom and trial experience in both criminal and civil proceedings, ranging from criminal cases from misdemeanors such as OUI and other motor vehicle-related charges, to the most serious felonies, including experience in the investigation and prosecution of Murder, Manslaughter and Motor Vehicle Homicide cases as lead trial counsel for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. In addition to criminal law, Attorney Flanagan also has experience in litigating civil matters, including, but not limited to, Care and Protection petitions with the Department of Children and Families, Guardianship Petitions, Restraining Orders, Harassment Prevention Orders, and employment-related proceedings and litigation.
Attorney Flanagan was raised in Millis, MA and graduated from Xaverian Brothers High School, Boston College, and Suffolk University Law School, where he received his law degree in 1998.
Attorney Flanagan lives in Mansfield with his wife and family.
